Terms of Service

VeriStay provides a guest identity verification service for short-term rental hosts and property managers. The Service includes ID document scanning, liveness detection, face matching, and related operational tooling.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for all activity that occurs under your credentials. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.

The Service is billed in two parts:

• $10 USD per verified guest — charged when a guest is approved through the verification flow.
• $2 USD per cleaner-property assignment per month — recurring monthly subscription line.

All charges are processed by Stripe. Invoices are issued at the end of each billing period and charged to your default payment method. You are responsible for ensuring funds are available; failed payments may result in suspended access until resolved.

You agree not to use the Service to verify identities for any unlawful purpose, to harass or discriminate against guests, or to collect identity information beyond what is necessary for the stated short-term rental verification context. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including data protection and short-term rental regulations.

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. You agree to obtain any consents from guests required by applicable law before submitting their information to the Service.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; usage charges already accrued during that period remain payable. Refunds are issued at our discretion for service outages or duplicate charges.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Where reasonably practicable we will notify active subscribers in advance of material changes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees paid by you to us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
